the Alt OT
About Me.
Hello! My name is Kae (like "K")! I’m all about advocacy, learning, education, and making a positive impact!
As an “alternative" person by way of perspective and self-expression, I went with the "Alt OT" to showcase this and give my online presence some personality. I am many things besides someone with a doctorate in occupational therapy. I am a neuro-divergent, queer, military veteran, and I am deeply passionate about driving change and fostering inclusivity.
My doctoral research focuses on gender and occupational therapy, but I’m equally fired up about disability rights, reproductive health, social research, and human sexuality.
This website is the culmination of my dedication to these causes and serves as a platform to share knowledge, resources, and strive for advocacy. Originally created as my doctoral capstone project as an OTD student in Spring 2025, this endeavor reflects my commitment to creating a more equitable, accessible, and informed world.
Below is a collection of photos that build of picture of who I am!
